The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Tucson Plant Materials Center is in need of a replacement Dehumidifier Unit for the walk-in seed cooler. This cooler operates at a stable temperature of 35ºF and a relative humidity range of 25-40 percent, conditions supported by both an air-conditioning condenser unit and a dedicated desiccant dehumidifier system. Work includes the acquisition and installation of a desiccant dehumidifier that meets all our requirements, including necessary mounting brackets, air vents, proper insulation, and electrical parts. The dehumidifier shall be placed inside the walk-in cooler in an unobstructive place where access is easily permitted and installed without disrupting the cooling process. Work also includes the removal of older dehumidifier installed equipment, ducts, and other unnecessary associated parts. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, parts, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to install new equipment. Magnitude of construction: less than $35,000.
