(2) The Contractor shall maintain a compliance plan during the performance of the contract that is appropriate- (i) To the size and complexity of the contract; and (ii) To the nature and scope of the activities to be performed for the Government, including the number of non-United States citizens expected to be employed and the risk that the contract or subcontract will involve services or supplies susceptible to trafficking in persons. The Smithsonian Institution seeks interested Small Business contractors to establish multiple Small Business Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts with construction firms to provide construction services between $1 million to $8 million per project. The NAICS code is 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. This announcement is for the selection and award of one or more Contracts that will support construction needs in our facilities for the Washington, DC Metropolitan area and surrounding facilities such as the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, VA and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, Edgewater, MD. REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATIONS It is desired that all questions/clarifications be sent in, sequentially numbered for example first questions 1,2,3, second set of questions 4,5,6, etc. in word format to ColemanSI@si.edu It is requested that all questions be sent in no later than September 15, 2026, at 3PM EST. No site visit has been arranged, if you feel a site visit is warranted, please send an email requesting one.
