By November 30, the Contractor shall revise the report, or put its reason in writing for the agency. The mission of National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is to discover how the environment affects people to promote healthier lives. The Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) is an intramural division at NIEHS, and DTT scientists use a variety of traditional and cutting-edge approaches to better understand how factors in our environment may impact our health. One of DTT's goals is to lead the transformation of toxicology through the development and application of innovative tools and strategies. DTT uses traditional and cutting-edge approaches to better understand how factors in the environment may impact human health. Such approaches include the conduct of toxicology studies on chemical, physical and biological agents, as well as non-chemical stressors, using in vitro and in vivo models of health and disease. The contractor shall provide a broad range of chemistry R&D services in support of DTT and/or NTP research programs. Chemistry support is needed for a diverse range of test articles studied at DTT and/or NTP. The test articles can vary from a single chemical to a complex mixture with a wide variety of physical and chemical properties.
