The project is located on the Deschutes National Forest, Sisters Ranger District. The Black Butte Pit is located off Forest Service Road 2060105. Directions from Sisters, OR: Drive west for 9.5 miles on Highway 20. Turn left onto George McAllister Road. Drive south for 1.1 miles.
