NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: Airport Express . NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration Academy, intends to award a single source contract to Airport Express, Oklahoma City, OK for proposed FAA Academy transportation services to/from specific lodging properties and the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) for students attending training at the Center. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System, AMS 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source when it is determined to be in the best interest of the FAA. This procurement is considered to be single-sourced to Airport Express based on the following: Transportation services under this requirement are integral to FAA Academy training execution, directly supporting the development of certified air traffic controllers and aviation personnel. The FAA Academy is currently operating under increased training throughput driven by national hiring initiatives to address air traffic controller staffing shortages.
