Overview of Scope: The MRC MOD1 Lab Waste Pre-Treatment System Replacement project involves the comprehensive replacement of laboratory waste treatment systems within four treatment rooms throughout the FDA's Muirkirk Road Complex in Laurel, MD. The primary objective is to replace the outdated lab waste pretreatment components that have reached the end of their effective service life, enhanced overall laboratory waste management capabilities while ensuring compliance with current environmental regulations. The project scope involves removal of existing equipment and installation of new hardware and software components across multiple treatment rooms (G103, G701B, Loading Dock Waste Room, and G305). Additionally, the project requires careful coordination with FDA and GSA stakeholders to ensure proper system integration and minimal disruption to ongoing facility operations.
