The 910th Airlift Wing requires repair and corrective work to the Aircraft Fire Training Facility (AFTF) aircraft mock-up located at Youngstown Air Reserve Station. An inspection and evaluation of the Aircraft Fire Training Facility was conducted in August 2025 and finalized in April 2026. The assessment identified deficiencies affecting the facility's burner and ignition systems, structural components, corrosion protection, sprinkler system, propane distribution and emergency shutoff systems, control systems, and associated components. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, testing, quality control, and other items and services necessary to complete the work identified in the Statement of Work, drawings, specifications, and solicitation attachments. Troubleshooting, repair, and/or replacement of the Tail Engine Burner, Wheel Well Burner, Flight Deck Burner, and Cargo Area Burner and associated ignition systems. Repair or replacement of burner ignition components as required to restore proper operation. Replacement of the malfunctioning cargo-area sprinkler head and restoration of proper drainage functionality. Structural steel repairs and corrosion remediation beneath portions of the aircraft mock-up. Corrosion repair beneath flight-deck stairs and around door assemblies. Repair and/or replacement of the warped R2 door and warped grating near the cargo-fire area. Certified welding and associated aircraft mock-up repairs. Installation/restoration of an emergency energy shutoff capability at the propane storage area. Installation of required solenoid valve(s) in the LPG/propane distribution system. Correction of deficiencies involving legacy pneumatic shutoff valves. Required control-system repairs/upgrades. Associated maintenance, testing, and corrective actions necessary to provide a complete and functional system.
