Scope

As used in this clause- Definition N0010426RK080 Page 66 of 103 "Arms, ammunition, and explosives ( )," means those items within the scope of DoD Manual 5100.76, Physical Security of Sensitive AA&E Conventional Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives. (b) The requirements of DoD Manual 5100.76 apply to the following items of AA&E being developed, produced, manufactured, or purchased for the Government, or provided to the Contractor as Government-furnished property under this contract: NOMENCLATURE NATIONAL STOCK NUMBER SENSITIVITY/ CATEGORY JM60 CKU-5C/A Rocket Catapult Assembly 1377-01-520-9738 U PVU-7/A Primer 1377-01-151-8397 U (c) The Contractor shall comply with the requirements of DoD Manual 5100.76, as specified in the statement of work.

Except as modified or amplified in the RFP this item contains explosives and a pre-award safety survey will be required. DFARS 252.223-7002, Safety Precautions for Ammunition and Explosives apply. Acquisition contains explosive ordnance items which require special security, safety and transportation clauses, which may be found in Section I. Technical data will be available for viewing on the web at SAM.gov. This procurement is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit an offer that, if received in a timely manner, will be considered. The solicitation will be available no earlier than the response date for this synopsis. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the supplies or services described. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.Paper copies will not be provided. DescriptionNAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to manufacture the items as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit as full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit for the procurement of: NSN 1377-01-520-9738, JM60, CKU-5C/A Catapult Rocket Motor for use on the ACESII system of the F-16. The Government does possess the necessary data to perform the required manufacture of the item. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received prior to the closing date of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government.
