Scope

SCOPE OF WORK a) The contractor shall decontaminate the sump area where the three existing seal elements are located. b) The contractor shall remove the existing seal element and clean the sleeve and pipe surfaces to a smooth finish as recommended by manufacturer. c) The contractor shall install a new modular pipe seal system for each of the three existing pipe penetrations.

d) The contractor shall wear the appropriate PPE to protect themselves from various acids and cyanides. e) The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and labor to complete the task of decontaminating, removing, and replacing the three pipe seals in the basement of the Plating Shop. f) The contractor shall provide all necessary safety equipment to complete the task of replacing the three pipe seals in the basement of the Plating Shop. g) The contractor shall notify and schedule with their Performance Assessment Representative (PAR) for any necessary utility outages needed to complete this task order. (There is a 14-day prior notification for all utility outages) h) The contractor shall verify existing pipe and seal size prior to scheduled repair date. i) The contractor shall test new pipe seals for leaks upon completion of change out. j) Contractor will comply with FRC East Instruction FRCEASTINST 5100.14C_Confine Space Entry Program (attached) and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable for hazardous environment in accordance with FRC East Instruction FRCEASTINST 5100.2 Occupational Safety and Health Manual.

Evaluation

The government will similarly produce risk-based contingency plans for restoration of essential services caused by reasonably foreseen factors that are not related to the performance of the contract.
