The U.S. Embassy Kingston requires the supply and delivery of backflow preventers and spares for use at the Embassy compound. This is a commercial supply acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The Contractor shall provide backflow preventers and service kits. The system should be certified to prevent contamination and require limited manual intervention and can be safely operated to minimize the impact on residence. The Contractor shall provide and deliver the following items : 14 Double-Check Valve Assembly (DCVA) Backflow Preventers with Installation Kit 2 x 1.5" Lead Free Double Check Valve Assembly 2 x 2" Lead Free Double Check Valve Assembly 2 x 2.5" Lead Free Double Check Valve Assembly with service kit 6 x 3" Lead Free Double Check Valve Assembly 4 x Service Kit for 3" Lead Free Double Check Valve Assembly 2 x 4" Lead Free Double Check Valve Assembly with service kit 1 x 6" Lead Free Reduce Pressure Zone Backflow Prevention Assembly with service kit All specialized tools, and instructions required to complete installation All certificates of applicable standards and codes All calibration and commissioning instructions The Government reserves the right to reject non-conforming products. 1. Mandatory Standards and Compliance ASSE 1015/CSA B64.5/cUPC: The device must meet these standards for double check valve assemblies. AWWA C510: Compliant with American Water Works Association standards for double check valve assemblies. NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 & 372: Must meet lead-free requirements and safe drinking water standards. Hazard Rating: Suitable only for non-health hazard (low hazard) applications. 2. Specifications (Technical Data) Assembly Components: Must be factory assembled, including two check valves, two shutoff valves, and four test cocks. Working Pressure: Minimum 175 psi (12.1 bar). Temperature Range: 33°F to 180°F (0.5°C to 82°C). Check Valve Type: Spring-loaded check valves. Sizes: 3/4" to 2" bronze bodies, 2-1/2" to 10" epoxy-coated iron. Shutoff Valves: Full-port resilient-seated ball valves (for sizes 2" and smaller) or non-rising stem gate valves (for sizes 2-1/2" and larger). Replaceable stainless steel seats Max Flow at low pressure drops Ease of maintenance Corrosion resistance of internals No special tools required for servicing Captured spring assemblies for safety 3. Common Recommended Models Watts: Series LF007 (Lead Free) or Series 757. FEBCO: Series 850 Small (Lead Free). Ames Fire & Waterworks: Series 2000B (Small) or 2000SS All items must be supplied with a mimum Warranty of 1 year Delivery Terms Delivery shall be no more than 30 calendar days after award, FOB Destination - SUVI Global Services - Doral, FL. 33178. US. The Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with packaging, handling, transportation and delivery. The items should be packaged for international shipping to final destination - US Embassy Kingston - Kingston, Jamaica Response Quotations should be sent in USD excluding duties or taxes and must include delivery time, warranty information, detailed product specifications and certification documentation . All firms that respond to this request for quotation must at the time of submitting their quotations must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM).
