Scope
Pursuant to the terms of this contract, the A&E may be required to perform services under the following major categories, including other closely related services as necessary: • Review design and construction documents prepared by other A&E firms or by FPI personnel. • Prepare, develop, and produce design and construction documents for new facility construction, facility additions, and renovation or modernization of existing facilities. • Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction activities, renovations, contract modifications, and claims. • Conduct Value Engineering (V/E) analyses and perform additional cost evaluation studies, as required. • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and construction schedules. • Provide assistance in preventing, mitigating, and resolving disputes or claims arising from design or construction activities. • Furnish comprehensive architectural and engineering services encompassing all disciplines necessary to ensure the successful execution and completion of assigned projects. • Provide, as required, studies; design development; construction documents; technical specifications; support during bid negotiation; construction administration; and project closeout services. • Develop procedures, prepare construction documents and work statements, support master planning efforts, conduct regulatory compliance evaluations, and assist in the preparation of design-build documentation. • Prepare construction specifications that uphold the principles of full and open competition. • Comply with all general requirements applicable to task orders issued under this contract.
